Direct flights to Istanbul

Turkish airlines has run today a test flight to Nsk and is planning to run three flights a week direct route to Istanbul. While we have some doubts about feasibility of this (honestly most Russians are interested in sea resorts of Turkey, and there are already direct charters), it is still a great news about developing possible connections in visa-free country, which opens a lot of new destinations.

Yota, Russian mobile internet operator, announced the launch of its Nsk network, promising blazing fast internet for mobile users. LTE technology is first time employed in Nsk with this new development, and we really hope this will mean cheaper and faster intertnet for everyone.

Amazing but it is first time Nsk airport reports the same passenger throughput they had only in Soviet times before, in 1991 exactly, when it was the last sunshine of Soviet passenger aviation before its total collapse. So we're back to Soviet times, eh?

We've heard many news about Belorussian economic turmoil, but it seems it is not preventing our slavonic brothers from enlarging its reach. Starting on May 2012, Belavia, the Belorussian carrier will run once a week flight to/from Minsk.

Eastern Bypass construction is starting next year

Admittedly, Novosibirsk road situation, resulted from weak planning is bad. One part of the problem solution is diverting the bypassing traffic actually to bypass the city itself. And this is what Eastern Bypass is for. We already have a Northern one, and Eastern is another hot direction. Good news for all car owners, and thanks to local Administration.

I really wonder what on earth you folks trying to find, but just to clear things out I'd like to let you know right here - YES MOBILE PHONES ARE WORKING HERE, at least of GSM standard. Roaming does work too but the costs are awful. You can get local sim easily. The details are in our Phones and Internet section.

Czech Republic opens its visa centre in Novosibirsk

Ok, now it is really easy to go to Czech Repulic. With its visa centre opened in Nsk it is now just 5-6 days visa consideration just as if you'd submit to its embassy in Moscow. Prague and good beer is becoming hugely closer.

America asks Iraq to pay back for destroying it

It just made my day! Across many news channels around the news came out that America hopes that someday Iraq will pay the costs of war the America unleashed on it. This is just completely rudiculous! Yeah, no WMD found, regime broken, huge number of people died, the country practically destroyed and Iraqi people now living a hugely more awful lives than they did before America's intrusion, so-called democracy installation. Whoa. You've got to be a real dumbfuck to suggest Iraq to pay back for that. Ask Bush to pay this war bill, after all it is his fault.
